im thinking of replacing my current server, an old converted tower pc. currently 552MB of ram with a 1.2Ghz P4 processor. It sucks about 90-330W depending on load and i get around 120 uniqe visitors a day with maybe a max of 500-1000 page hits. The http://www.very-pc.co.ukcompany specialise in energy efficient computers and I am thinking of buying one of their green PC's which has only a 38W load and is more than twice as fast as my current server having 1GB of ram and a AMD dual core 2.5Ghz processor. So going green for me is pretty good, not only do I save money on electricity (and to be honest thats more important to people than saving the planet) but I get better performance per Watt of energy burnt.
