Although I don't share your level of disappointment, it is definitely true that this new platform isn't ready for the mainstream yet. For now, it's mostly a geek-toy. I was extremely eager to check it out but I got very disappointed when I logged in. Firstly it didn't like my Opera browser, not IE either. So I installed Chrome, I went through this trouble because I thought Wave would be fantastic. But when I logged in and went in to the wave with the introduction video I soon realized how lame the whole thing is. I thought they were smarter than this, its not even ready for an Alpha yet.
